Long Time User First Time question

I am curious: there's a gap that needs bridging between ASFS and Active Sky for P3D-and that's higher level thunderstorms. Seems like CB is capped at 18-20 k and doesn't go above that. Where are the 40, 50, 60 thousand foot monsters usually associated with strong thunderstorms?
Is this a sim limitation within MSFS 2024? Those of looking for high fidelity have been missing this for a while...and I am curious if its user error, or I need to use ASFS in active (instead of passive mode).

I have yet to see CB worthy of deviating around because it seems I have always gone above it...

This is an MSFS thing, and despite setting cloud heights at 35K+, the rendered visual depiction will be much less, for performance reasons. We don't control clouds or other specific weather conditions (only effects) in passive mode.

We're looking forward to increased performance and increase in visual height in future MSFS builds.
