We have just officially released B8927, our biggest update yet!
Now, we are moving our focus onto our next big update which is currently planned as "Service Update 1".
Some of the things we’re working on:
(Not a complete list! This is just a small preview)
- Networked configuration support (having ASFS client and MSFS on different computers on the same network)
- Improved blending of GFS/grib cloud model data and METAR data for more accurate cloud conditions worldwide regardless of METAR vertical cloud detection limitations (such as in Europe which generally only measure up to 5000ft)
- Improved resolution (temporal and spatial) of specific flight-plan-based area weather data, especially METAR and snow depth data
- Improved terrain awareness and terrain-based wind/draft/turbulence effects
- Improvement of wind shear and microburst effects, as well as the ws/mb test buttons
- Apply button for historical weather date/time applications
- Improved visibility depiction for mid-level visibility conditions, currently resulting in excessive bloom/humidity conditions in some cases when vis is between about 5 and 20SM
- Detection/warning when incompatible add-ons are detected with instructions on how to properly disable and uninstall such add-ons
- Improved cloud smoothing logic for reduced unexpected higher or lower transition rates in some cases
Thank you!!!
