New Beta version for XP12

Not sure what I am missing, but there is no wind or weather injection..the map follows my aircraft and it says it is connected to XP12 but nothing changes, and the winds on my aircraft display are very different to what Active Sky says they are....

Be sure to select "Custom Weather" in ASXP Wx Control. That is all that is needed. You will see that live weather is being injected on the ASXP Map tab.

Also, make sure that you do not activate "Surface crosswind attenuation" or "Override X-Plane turbulence" as that will interfere with proper depiction. They are not active by default.

ASXP Wx control can be set to any setting. Make sure you select "Manually Configured" in XP options, then things will work.

The Beta installer notes say to "Override X-Plane turbulence" and surface crosswind attenuation.
But the "Override X-Plane turbulence" available under ASXP wind options has been removed in ASXP12 beta. Can you clarify which ASXP12 options are essential?

This may need to be updated.

You can submit this over at the Bug Tracker site.

Recommended Settings for XP12


Override X-Plane turbulence and Surface crosswind attenuation should not be used with X-Plane 12 due to the new weather system making these items potentially conflicting. “Manually Enter Weather” weather mode should be enabled within XP12 (vs. live weather). This will allow proper ASXP12 control. ASXP12 development is ongoing and recommendations, features and options are expected to change.
