Resolved no wind in cruise - Units issue

Hi,

Im using AS FS since released and réinstaller last build.
For some reason I dont have wind in Cruise.
It stuck at heading with 3 or 4 knts.

In debug screen wind shows and interact good.
Live weather set with réalism mode.
4 flights as same, no wind in cruise only departure and approach.

Other question " in MSFS option, do I need to DISABLE Live weather or let it ?

Same issue about cruise wind
Below ~FL150 - wind is correct, according to winds public data
Above freeze like ~5-10kts

Some more details: in Weather tab i don't see winds higher than 17069ft

Also on first screenshot: It says 190/26, but i can see 213/13-14

Same for other MSFS planes, as well as groundspeed translated to Vatsim net and etc

Hello,

That is an interesting discovery. I am glad that you were able to find what the issue was. MSFS offers so much more within its options menu than most other simulation programs. The only thing that comes close is X-Plane.

Tested one more time
In case if hybrid metric system is on, seems like it converts feets as meters and getting cruise ~80kts wind for example at 34000FT we are getting at 10300 feets (thats convertation feets to meters and that puting it for feets position)

Found a fix. It ONLY happen in ACTIVE SKY PRESET CONTROL.
Not in PASSIVE mode all is Okay.

Can annonce explain why ?

I am unable to duplicate the same issue using Hybrid, or any of the 3 available modes. I've tried switching in flight, switching and restarting, and all kinds of things but cannot get this to show like the screenshot above.

Nyan404 and Hewpilot, can you please advise what your number format and language settings are for Windows? Does using Metric and/or US System always work, and only Hybrid does not work? Thank you!

Metric only works
Language - tested with eng and rus
Number format - DD/MM/YY (a.k.a Russian).
Will test with other regional settings during this week. If found something - will share

Hi,

For me french setting. Only Metric works not Hybrid. Number formation dd/mm/yy

Hello everyone,

I tested all three modes, no issues with wind or turbulence.

MSFS: EN-US
OS Date format: YYYY/M/D

In the last test, I created wake turbulence at FL350 - ASFS debug window: 90°/Force 10, and the aircraft responded to the violent winds.

Ciao a tutti,
Intanto complimenti al team per l'efficienza e la rapidità nel cercare di risolvere quanti più problemi possibili.... Purtroppo anche per me non carica i venti alle varie citazioni pur avendo disattivato AV e tolto l'ibrido dall'unità di misura nel menu.
Ho notato che in modalità passiva i venti ci sono.
Qualche altra soluzione per risolvere questo problema? Grazie.

I have never seen so much efficiency and presence in solving problems... as soon as I can I download the latest version... even if the winds are already working on me with the 8880b.... you are doing a great job!👏🏻 keep it up!

Thank you for the words. We had a fairly comprehensive private beta test, but we were not able to have this installed on a very wide range of systems like we have now post-release, and it takes a little time to sort out unexpected issues. As well we are adding the most requested/popular things and making adjustments as the feedback dictates, to rapidly get this working as intended (and beyond!) for everyone. We are getting very close to having all the issues worked out, and work will continue at this speed for a long while. Once we resolve all the issues everyone is experiencing, we will move to development of further features as requested.
