Question Passive mode

I am a new user. Every time i switch over to passive mode i get clear skies. If i look in the toolbar it is set to a clear skies preset. The toolbar does not allow me to change any of the options. I have live weather in the sim switched off. When switching back to AS preset control weather is being injected. As i understand it, the two option is suppose to be almost similar?

In AS change the wxr depiction to Live WXR and you don't touch MSFS wxr settings (I have my MSFS on live but it doesn't matter what you have, just don't touch them after launching AS)

I use passive too, which is essentially MSFS wxr depiction (but AS effects like turbulence), but AS should be similar, although apparently passive mode can have more accurate wxr at origin and destination

Thanks. I was under the impression that live weather in the sim needed to be turned off. I now left it on. This worked. thanks again
