Problem with snow coverage

Hello, I was doing a VFR flight around Iceland and every 5-10 minutes ActiveSky decided there should be (no) snow. So every 5-10 minutes the landscape changed from fully covered in snow to no snow at all, and again, and again, etc. Very weird. What is up with this? Can I prevent this?

Edit: it may be interesting to add that the temperature was around 0 C.
