i assumed active sky would have worked fine in p3d v5 with just a new installer if you had true sky disabled. i am another waiting on active sky for p3d v5, i won't use p3d without active sky or pmdg aircrafts, so it's best to just be patient.if you are forcing p3d v4 installers into p3d v5, they may work, but nothing is optimized.

Again, never seen such issues with wind shifts in v5 yet. Weird that so many people have them.

They are present. I noticed a lot of this (during 1-2h flight on GA plane). Try longer flight at different alt.

The concerning part for me is I haven't seen any official acknowledgement from LM that they are aware of this issue.
LM did acknowledge the bug reports on their forum yesterday. They are investigating.

I doubt this bug will affect Active Sky’s proprietary methods of controlling upper level wind and temperature.

I concur with this, I 'v had some wild wind shifts in cruise. Also had an invisible wall I flew into but that's a different story.

The wild shift of winds in cruise, which weather program are you using? I'm pretty sure those using OPUS or FSWX are probably using a code that's incompatible with V5. As with everyone forcing officially incompatible product with V5. So far never encountered any weather issues with the ORBX weather themes. Maybe that's why LM doesn't acknowledge the issue, because there's none, and mostly comes from people using incompatible weather addon.
