Hi guys,

i was using AS and ASCA in a networked situation for a long time and it worked fine, til this message in AS P3Dv4 appeared. Meanwhile i stepped over to the new beta (deinstalled the old AS) and still having this issue. The funny thing is, after i click the remove the error-window it starts to inject new weather randomly. Normally i am fit with windows permissions, but i have no clue how to fix this issue.

Network GB LAN
HOST (SIM) PC Windows 10 pro (2004)
Client PC Windows 10 pro (2004)

error message is attached also the logfile when the message appeared.

i also would like to have info about the correct order of installation the ASCA files, even before the appearing of the above message i had ramdonly error information about missing clouds in the past.

This 2 files i have in my simmarket account:

and then i updated with the current beta
Open Beta UpdateASCA SP3 Open Beta7471451MBDownload Link

ist this correct?

thx for help
regards
paul

Yes I get this also, it's a known one. It used to be 5 minutes but they changed the timer flag to 7minutes hoping it would fix the issue. But it has not, I have stopped bothering to send in log files about it. But I will if they ask me and if they need them.

Hi,

This is usually caused by using 4096 textures on a network setup with Global Automatic or Full Dynamics enabled.
Try lowering to 2048.

Thank you for all your quick replies.

i had this error message with 2048 also before, now i am @1024 (on my first flight with this settings) and no error message in global automatic til yet.

I just wonder because the dynamic injection worked for a long in ASP3Dv4 with 2048 enabled. Didnt make any changes before the error messages came up as far as i remember.

Btw the new beta appears to freeze temporary sometimes when switching between the menues (options, conditions,..) Never had this with ASP3Dv4

paul

Thank you for your reply's, I was not aware of that, I am in a network setup and using and have always used full dynamics at 2048. At the moment it's impossible to test or try anything until all the problems with 5.1 are fixed and all is in sync and working properly.

I will move this over to the Open Beta area if this is beta related.

Afternoon

I am still getting it in 7613 in full dynamic and global automatic at 2024 texture.

I am also having scenery draw problems on approach to airports which seems to relate to P3d v5.1.

I am not sure what's happening, I'm messing with settings to try and get a better picture on it.

Note the picture of the unnatural line of mist, just threw at in as a passing shot!

Alan,

First look at your log shows that you made many options changes during your session (from ASCA apparently) and this may have affecting things. I also see you are using a network setup and when working your normal ASCA installs are taking 2-3 minutes. Occasionally this takes a much longer time causing this error, which appears to be network related. I would focus there and make sure you are using a stable and properly performing connection (hardwired, properly configured, etc). Saturated WiFi networks for example can cause these issues.

Can you also post your log.txt/ASCA log export after a similar error? Thank you.

Ok thanks will double check, have a hard wired network. The option changes whilst flying was to monitor cause and effect on this issue and is not my normal behaviour, I could not trigger the fault at will. I will focus on the network, but faults on that would manifest themselves on other applications I use surely? I will get back to you later.

Could find no fault or errors with my network, currently 30 minutes into a 4 hr flight. Just happened see logs. Will update you with fresh logs during the flight as I encounter the error.
Note: as you may be aware, as soon as I click ok to the error message the update loads ok.

Morning how you doing. Could you post another log when you get the problem again. I'm making comparisons between our logs and think I can spot something.
Many thanks.

It seems i found at least the reason why my "global automatic" and "full dynamic" didnt work:

I rechecked the paths, especially the "common data export path" was linked to to a new created "weather" folder on the fs client PC.

I remembered the old weather folder was within P3Dv4 main folder. So i changed the path to the weather folder within the sim and had no more "7 minutes" errors on my last flight.

Next weekend i'll probably will have the time to varify if it was only a coincidence or really the cause of my issues.

(Edit) Many thanks, my common data export path is pointing to appsdata\roaming\hifi\asp3d\weather on the client pc. I changed it to the weather folder in the P3dv5 main folder as you have done. It stopped the sim loading at 74% loading weather. I have changed it back and am confident it's correct.

Morning all

I have checked everything and have found one possible cause of this issue. I had duplicate simulator paths in ASCA. I have cleared the duplicate and now just have one. I think this has happened before and it seems to be when there is an update installed, not sure but maybe the install process needs a look at.

I am two hours into a flight and have not observed any problems. I will post the logs when the flight completes.

Good flight no issues.

Thank you for your feedback.

I did the update yesterday, but i had no time to test if the message is completely gone. The injection works, but it also worked mostly before. On my last 10 h leg (before the new update) i had the "7 min" message around 4- 5 times, not generally.

So hopefully this issue is really solved now.

I am sorry to say it is still happening on my actual flight. I noticed there could be a tendency in appearance when approaching or when being above ocean. And after quitting the error window ("7 minutes...") the weather injection starts working again.

Now testing with 1024er textures
