Issue Issue with live weather [MSFS 2024]

Hello. I have a problem with Active Sky updating the weather in MSFS 2024. After starting the flight and Active Sky, I have the status in the upper left corner as in the picture. Unfortunately, the weather in Active Sky has no impact on what is happening in the simulator. In MSFS 2024, I have the live weather set, and in Active Sky, regardless of whether I set the current weather or a completely different historical one, nothing in the MSFS world changes. Am I doing something wrong? Should I connect it differently or change it in the settings?

I have looked through all three pages of this topic and found nothing of value. As for the top menu apps, I can select (ON/OFF) the ASFS app, but selecting ON does not add it to the top menu (I am attaching pictures)

Are you using MSFS2024 SU2 Beta? If so, you'll need the newest beta build that supports SU2+. Your current ASFS build supports MSFS2024 SU1/official only. If that doesn't resolve the issue, please open a ticket and include a log export and we'll assist. Thanks.

It looks like downloading this version fixed the problem. I have two more questions though. Just to be sure, should the live weather setting in MSFS be on or off when ActiveSky is active?
And when live weather is turned on in MSFS (with ActiveSky turned off), even in nice weather, single small clouds are generated, but when ActiveSky is turned on, the current weather for a given location is clear, there is absolutely nothing in the sky. Does this mean that ActiveSky is not able to generate single clouds in nice weather, or is it a matter of settings?

ASFS will control the weather/preset settings accordingly, switching to AS weather preset/custom weather when using default PRESET mode in ASFS or to live mode when using PASSIVE mode in ASFS. See the User's guide for more information on all this.

The cloud scene is extremely dynamic based on many factors. If ASFS decides not to specify clouds, there is a reason (we use advanced computations that incorporate data modeling, interpolation and weighting of many data sources). Differences between MSFS live weather and ASFS live weather are expected. The weather conditions themselves influence this. If all reports, air data and modeling supports clear skies, that is what ASFS is aiming for.

Ok and what about live weather settings on MSFS 2024? Live weather should be on or off?
If you want MSFS to control the weather, live weather in MSFS should be set to on and AS should be set to passive mode.

If you want AS to control the weather, AS should be set to active mode. In MSFS, use the custom preset "clear skies". Once AS starts injecting weather, it will install and use its own custom weather preset in MSFS.

You should not change MSFS weather modes/presets manually, ASFS does this for you. If you do it manually you can lose sync and have weather issues. See the user's guide for clarity on this.
