Resolved Active Sky Changes Manual Weather from Clear to IFR Precision anytime its launched

I posted the below text a few days ago in Technical Support and all I got was a email back instructing me to send a bug report. This person couldn't just change it to a bug report ? I had sent all the logs and didn't have new ones at that time because I gave up on playing X-Plane 12 with it. This new RC1 does the same thing. FYI I did not have this issue with when downloading the first betas that came out but then again I had an NVIDEA GPU (3090) at that time and now have a AMD one. (7900 XTX). I wouldn't think its that because as u will see below this issue is only when I launch Active Sky. I have no other issues with X-Plane Manaul modes or their Real Weather. I have loaded up and got the the logs for you. Thanks

I load my X-Plane 12 up and change the weather to Manual / Clear. The weather stays clear until I start Active Sky and then the manual weather automatically changes from clear to IFR Precision and makes the sim Real Foggy. I have tried this at numerous airports and the same thing happens every time. Trust me its not Foggy. Also the manual weather shouldn't ever change from clear is what I understand also. Please help.

What are u telling me Dave?? That link u gave me just sends me to a site that I can look at bugs. I don't see anywhere on that link u provided to create one. I read in one of the notes in here that your doing them on the forum now also. So what do u need me to do with my issue ??????????????????????????

It won't let me add any .txt files including my logs and the hi-fi ones either when I try to open up a bug report. Says too big. but their in fine in here.

Can you work the issue here please or move what I put up above into a bug report for me since I am not able to do so ? I am logged in and it will not allow the X-Plane 12 log.txt or any of the .txt from Hifi. As you can see it allowed me to add everything on this page. thx

Send a log export here from the ASXP12 interface just in case it may be turned off now due to RC1 is out.

I suspect that you've turned your MAXIMUM SURFACE VISIBILITY setting to zero or other low value. You don't include your AS log export, nor the wx conditions, which would show this, but that is worth a check.

Hi Damian. That was exactly the issue with the Maximum Surface Visibility. I put it back to default and that cleared my issue up. Thank you for your time and fix. Have a great day.

This setting is a feature allowing quick and easy IMC simulation with any weather mode/source. Glad to see it’s working well. I suggest resetting options to default initially and then only change them once understanding their effect. AS options add lots of control and capability but also add complexity.
