ActiveSky and Fenix V3

Hello, do you confirm that there is a kind of incompatibility between ActiveKy and the last update of the Fenix ? As other users (see Fenix Discord), I see no effect of turbulence on the plane, especially when it flies through clouds. Thanks for your answer.

You need to contact Fenix regarding this.

That is what "Aamir"has written :
"Again, at this time, I believe we're one of the only airliners using the inertia tensor. We are not going to stop using new features because third parties aren't compatible. I've invited wx devs to reach out and get in touch with what it is they're doing, but I also think a lot of the statements here are incredibly hyperbolic as I took the airplane out myself last night in Realistic Native weather and it was bouncing around all over the place. You are also free to roll back to V2, or indeed just stop using it, but I'm sorry - we will not really be adjusting the FM until we understand what these weather apps are doing that is different to the native weather (again - quite clearly in our own internal testing), how they are inciting turbulence, or whether they've even done any basic investigation on the inertia tensor stuff or whether the response is as plain and simple as: "works on other stuff", and even then it's quite unlikely that we will adjust the FM to make it compatible with third parties when working fine with native (unless there's a very good reason why)".

Interesting. I had noticed ASFS showing different levels of turbulence, but no movement in the plane. I guess that's why. Ugh - thanks for posting.

We’ll add this to the investigation list. As you know, ASFS turb has worked on all aircraft for years and this is the first time an incompatibility like this is seen. We control forces in sim using the documented SDK. If they have bypassed forces and using external flight model control, a specific integration with that aircraft would be needed. It’s not out of the question but will require cooperation and work in both ends, most likely. We are always open to integration with other devs. So in short, we’ll try.

Thanks for looking into it Damian. From the quote above and other things on their Discord, they seem pretty sure of themselves that their use of the inertia tensor is original and within the SDK, but that they are willing to discuss things with other devs. Please let us know if there is anything that we can do to help. They are already aware that ASFS does not work well with the V3 Fenix.
