Just for kicks I will install the Aircraft and see how my frames are. Have you posted your issue at the Aerosoft forums since you are having issues with their aircraft?

I am testing the Airbus right now. Can you provide the location and time that you flew and encountered bad frame rates?

Have flown the A320 for a while in some heavy weather and the aircraft has performed really well on my PC. Your best bet would be to submit a support ticket and see if your issue can be resolved. I am not sure what they will find though. Have you tried to reinstall using admin rights?

I saw an unusual drop with the Aerosoft A321 myself with AS16 (don't have ASCA) last night flying KLAX-KCLE. Don't recall this issue with ASN.

As Airbus does a bad job in combination with 3 part weather addons but with as16 it is better for me!
BUT after all this years with the As Bus i deinstall this bugy addon, it was always bugy and will ever be! Now with As16 the bus can not handle gusts, the autothrottle was always the biggest problem with the bus! Support is bad too!

Aerosoft's Airbus campaign was designed as a "lite" simulation aircraft, not sure if it was done in house or with a partnership but it was one of the leaders in that genre of simulation. It is not as complex when compared to some other companies offerings yet it meets the mark for an immersive experience in my opinion. I have not followed development that closely for the last year, have the issues mentioned here been brought up in their forums?

Perhaps I'm naive but I'm not sure how the 3d aircraft model causes FPS issues and stuttering when using AS16; which go away when I close AS16.

HiFi or Aerosoft? I don't understand your statement. I have flown the bus a few times now trying to get it to make my FPS drop and it stays relatively smooth. My Prepar3D .cfg has been modified where I added an affinitymask=116 setting. I use Process Lasso to assign the same affinity on my CPU and I set addons to use other cores. I shut all my non essential apps down and run all that I can on a client PC. When getting ready to fly I start P3D first, then TrackIr and a third program that changes windowed mode to full screen. I start the sim at its default location and change aircraft, time of season and airport from within the sim, not from the selection screen.
I do not experience any issues with my sim and have flown relatively crash free since upgrading to P3D v3.3.5
Hello guys, looking at some help on the FSX SE forums I been able to change some settings on my system and now the airbus is running much better, i guess this case can be close if anything I will let everyone know. I dont have any issues with AS2016 and art so we good. Thanks everyone.

I still do with FSX:SE in combination with AS16 and the Airbus, so I'd like to solicit more ideas rather than just closing the thread.
The latest Airbus models from Aerosoft include a weather radar. The earlier Airbus (Airbus X Extended), didn't have the weather radar.
The weather radar implementation apparently does checks in the background, to keep the screen current and up to date, even when the radar is "off" in the cockpit. It is possible to change this behaviour via some configuration settings for the airbus to get the radar to only scan in the background "occasionally" or, depending on your choice, to not do this at all. This background scanning has been known to cause FPS drops on people's systems and may be the cause of the issues you are discussing here.
As for where or how to make those config changes, I am not sure (I don't own that version of the Airbus). However, the Aerosoft Airbus forums will be helpful in this regard. There was a number of discussions about this on their forums and a quick forum search should find some results. Or, perhaps the manual?

No not HIFI for sure! Many useres got some problems with Airbus radar on! Personaly, i have finished with all products from aerosoft! Thats only a personal matter! Never had some troubles with PMDG, A2A, Majestic and high quality addons from other puplisher...
BUT the Bus gives me nightmares all the time, bad performance, far from realisitc, realy bad support,...
And by the way, all those diffrent fsx.cfg pimps, i don care. Highmemfix and affinitymask depends on your system is everything you need. I f not, you need better hardware. I never heard about AF 166?!
