Question Any chance of AS being able to override FS 2024 Career weather?

The career weather is unchangeable in game, and AS doesn't appear to have any affect on it. Each Career mission has scripted/random weather and some of them are quite bonkers. So much so that I consider the whole mode broken because I can't fly a C172 in 50 knot crosswinds

So aside from fixing a broken mechanic by overriding the weather, it would just be nice, and I think a lot would agree, to be able to use live/custom weather in these game modes.

I believe Asobo has intentionally removed the ability for any add-on to adjust the weather in this mode and locking the "preset" or weather mode they are using for the given career mission.

So we probably will not be able to "fix this", but you may want to forward your feedback to MS/Asobo at the flightsimulator.com forums. Perhaps they will consider this ability.

That’s a shame, even that passive mode won’t work. I’m so done with the side to side head shaking they call turbulence.

Passive mode should not be affected. Only preset weather control.

Ah, maybe I have forgotten what Passive is able to do in that case. The Asobo default weather has a very noticeable side shaking when the plane is flying, even with no turbulence present. This is absent when ASFS is running. Perhaps this is something Passive mode isn't able to alter in that case.

We recommend running LOW turbulence (assistance options) in MSFS2020/24 to limit/eliminate most of those effects and using ASFS air effects/turbulence options to your liking, in passive or active.
