ASN for P3D v2.3?

Damian,

I just downloaded ASN B5386 for P3D and after pulling my hair for several hours trying to get ASN to work in network mode, I finally noticed the log.txt file inside the as_srv folder and it said "5:03:10 PM:0860-Incompatible P3D version. This version of as_connect is designed to be used with P3D version 2.4.11570.0".

No wonder I couldn't get it to work!

I am still on trial mode and really need to make sure everything works fine before I make the purchase.

Is there a way I can get a P3D 2.3 version of as_connect?

Thanks in advance!

Is there a reason you are not updating to v2.4 of P3D? LM only supports the current version so it doesn't make any sense to stay with 2.3. And, as such, I *believe* that ASN will not be supported in 2.3. Damian would have to confirm that.

Mostly because FSUIPC will not be updated for v2.4, until Pete Dawson returns home next week, and I have several addons that use FSUIPC. Eventually I will of course update to P3D 2.4... Thanks for the response!

That's not true because the latest FSUIPC4 works very well with P3D v2.4. Go to Pete's download page and get it.

Not fully it doesn't, mouse macros, weather fixes for non ASN owners and friction tweaks among many other things in FSUIPC will not work even though the rest of FSUIPC will appear fine. You also risk crashing using FSUIPC in a none supported version of P3D. That advise came directly from Pete himself, I'm just repeating it again here.

Exactly...

I went ahead and did a full install of P3D 2.4 and I finally got ASN to work in network mode! I will be purchsing ASN in the next few days...

As for FSUIPC, I just need it so I can run my LiveDISPATCH program on my network PC via WideFS. I guess I will just wait for Pete to update it for P3D v2.4 and in the meantime, I will continue to enjoy P3D v2.4 which BTW, runs extremely smooth!

Once we go official with SP1 (soon now), we plan to offer the latest previous P3D version compatibile variant on our downloads page. Right now we're still technically in beta however, and not able to manage multiple version variants. In addition for testing efficiency reasons we need to focus on the latest P3D version. During updates it is normal for a 1-2 week transition time for everything to come up to speed.

Hi guys
Are you still going to release the latest P3D version compatible variant on your downloads page?

Thanks
John
