I can concur and confirm. This problem happened to me as well on the NGXu about 20 mins into the flight.

Same behavior as well. P3d 4.5 HF 3, NGXu on a flight from KPHL to TJSJ. About 200 miles out of San Juan, a line of thunderstorms appeared. Autopilot started an uncommanded slow turn to the right. I disconnected autopilot and then went into a steep bank/dive. If this happens again, I’ll try shutting down AS.
Do You mean, that the problem does not occur even if you have WX radar turned on, providing you do not extend 80mm of range?

I have very simular occurrence (just by behavior) with not PMDG one but Feelthere E170 and Carenado PC12. and not with ASP3DB3, but after I uninstall it's P4 interface (the one under mydocument\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons) and use back to ASforP3Dv4.
Hard to tell if my instatnce have anything to do with ASP3D, but giving the similarity with your one and the only major change on my sim was indeed install of ASP3D, I 'll try if I can resolve it with uninstall of b3 (and for V4, then reinstall forV4).

same here pmdg 747 p3d v5. autopilot unable to track and maintan altitude. I had the radar wx radar on capt side
My sim yes if the ND is not zoomed out beyond 80 miles the airplane and radar operate normal.

Just experienced this problem as well as soon as I flicked on the WXR over the Pacific
Same for me - P3d 4.5 HF 3 - PMDG 747-8F - ASP3D Beta#3.
Next waypoint in flightplan is not tracked, Altitude loss, Speed loss.
Selecting "Heading Control" shows no reaction, altitude control does not work any more (V/S or FLCH).
After switching off ASP3D application everything back to normal.
(However, reproducable CTD doe not happen any more on my machine with Beta#3)

Can confirm the issue with the choppy displays in P3Dv4.5 HF3 with the PMDG NGX. As soon as I increased the range of the WXR beyond 80nm the displays of the plane became extremly choppy and the plane stopped following the flightplan. It also lead to the inputs becoming very erratic, like it only one input every few seconds.
just did an 8 hour flight egss- panc everything ok until just before tod. pmdg 748F aircraft started to vear off track, and became unresponsive to control inputs. wx zoom 160. shutting down active sky fixed the issue, and after restarting the app all appeared ok, apart from some dubious looking popcorn clouds on the horizon. i am also using the updated asca program.
