I've updated to latest on my dev systems and cannot duplicate. Can those experiencing this please copy/paste the version details for the last update installed (Windows Update/Update history)? Also advise if you have any non-standard network configuration including VPN, mutliple network adapters/networks, etc)? Thank you.

We believe this is due to the latest windows update (October 14, 2025—KB5066835 (OS Builds 26200.6899 and 26100.6899), and we are aware that there are multiple apps and FS add-ons affected, as well as a large windows community response for app developers.

If you'd like to troubleshoot with us on this, please open a ticket and we can try test builds/attempts to work around this problem.

Or if you'd like to get things working ASAP, please roll back your update by uninstalling KB5066835 (Windows update/Update History/Uninstall updates, and uninstall KB5066835). If this does not resolve it, you may also need to uninstall KB5065789.

Are you sure? Can you double check installed update history? We have many confirmed reports now of the windows updates KB5066835 and/or KB5066835 causing this.

I'll send the same message here that I sent in my HiFi ticket in case anyone is still having problems or someone "parachutes" into this topic without knowing what's going on.

Wonderful!

I followed all your instructions and uninstalled updates KB5066835 and KB5065789.

However, simply uninstalling these updates doesn't solve the problem; you need to update Active Sky to 9419 as well.

Why I say this: My Windows was showing as up to date until yesterday, and this afternoon, these two updates arrived on my Windows Update. My Active Sky was showing an error in the early hours of the 14th into the 15th, which was when I opened this ticket. It was still the 14th, 11:57 PM Brazilian time.

So, for me, it only resolved itself after I updated my Active Sky to 9419 and uninstalled both updates KB5066835 and KB5065789. This combination of actions resolved my issue.

I also paused my Windows updates until the end of October so Microsoft can take action on the matter. I also think it's interesting that you, from HiFi, reported this issue to Microsoft.

Thank you for your attention, support, and service.

Congratulations to the entire team.

Best regards.

We don't recommend using 9419 (sent to a few users for troubleshooting), if you have that installed, as it is only a debug test build and disables many other services for testing/debugging. As mentioned on the ticket, we recommend going back to 9412 and if you have additional issues, please let us know with logs so we may investigate. We have numerous confirmations that uninstalling the KB updates only resolves this with 9412.

Just confirming what @damian said.

I downgraded from version 9419 to 9412 and it worked.

So, just uninstall updates KB5066835 and KB5065789.

I just don't understand why these two updates hadn't been installed yesterday and were already giving an error.

Anyway, it's fixed.

Thank you all again.

Anyone getting 24 hour notices regarding logins exceeded need to be handled on the Support Desk so whoever needs this addressed needs to open a Support ticket.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

I uninstalled the last windows update but still blocked by the login error "the maximum number of forced logouts per 24 hour"
Yesterday this worked perfectly, I also updated Windows today, so it's quite possible that it's due to that, now rolling back the update isn't going to help much for the 24-hour waiting time, you'll just have to wait and see if it works, pointing the finger at Microsoft now isn't going to do much, it will also be Hifi their job to solve this.
