Resolved Hesitations at regular intervals with ASFS and MS2024 SU5

I have been experiencing brief pauses ever since MSFS2024 was upgraded to SU5. I have spent lots of hours troubleshooting this and the culprit seems to be ASFS. Whilst Google AI says lots of people are having this "rythmic hesitation" mine is every 7-10 seconds, I haven't seen anyone mentioning this as a problem in this forum. I tried extending the interval for weather updates and a few other settings but to no avail so I've had to set ASFS into passive mode and this lets MSFS depict the clouds but leaves the wind to Active Sky. I have a relatively high-end system (9800X3D, RTX 5080, 3840x1600 @144hz). I'd like to revert back to full use of ASFS so if anyone can tell me what I should be doing I would welcome that or, I'd like to know if there's anything in the works to address the changes ASOBO made in SU5

Hello,

First try reinstalling 2024.
This has worked for other customers with this issue.

If that doesn't help,
Please open a support ticket regarding this.

Thank you for your response. I had neglected to mention that I had already done a clean install of MS2024 and it didn't resolve my issue. However, your suggestion did get me to thinking that I hadn't done a complete clean install of ASFS and that seems to have fixed the cyclic hesitations. I suspect I had a corrupted file related to the SU5 betas and trying to get back out of them to a stable version.

Well, nevermind the encouraging news here. I've had to revert back to passive mode. I'll keep experimenting but the hesitations are back in live weather mode.

There must be another addon then doing this.
I can't reproduce this on my test system.
