MSFS2024 SU5.1 | still compatible?

while AS is working in general, I have the feeling the cloud depiction when in Preset Mode doesn't look as good as it use to.
there are often very unnatural or hardcloud shapes and sometimes even what seems to be a mix between the preset and some of those "volcanic ash"-stock-clouds.

especially on longer flights I noticed that the clouds get worse over time.
anyone else seeing this?
there hasn't been an ActiveSky update in quite a while, is it fully compatible with the lates sim version?

The cloud depiction is changing often internal in MSFS with new builds. We continue making changes/improvements as time goes on to adapt as best we can, but much of this is out of our control. Specific conditions are also largely responsible for variation as intended.

That said, we are fully compatible with the latest official as well as (currently) the SU6 latest beta and are testing this actively

yeah, so here's an example, if that's any good at all.

I've witness this on many occasions, when I fly 2+ hour flights, the clouds at some point become just "strange". the just doesn't look like active sky anymore, I don't know how to describe it. the have hard edges, dark centers, look like "painted" on to the blue sky, very harsh and not blending in very well. they somehow also look cool, but it's just so different. and as I said, it's often that I don't see something like this on departure or cruise, only at some point after 2 hours or so, that they start to look different.
here's a comparison of the clouds on arrival, and after I re-loaded the weather (flying with historical weather. both metars were the same).
the re-loaded clouds look "normal" again, just like I'm use to on departure etc.



and here two more of the "strange" clouds. idk, maybe it's just me, but they doesn't look right to me....

Please post conditions screen with the matching sim pics. Hard to tell without that. Also, if not already installed, please use the latest ASFS beta version which addresses some cloud depiction items. Thanks!
