News P3D V5?

The wild shift of winds in cruise, which weather program are you using? I'm pretty sure those using OPUS or FSWX are probably using a code that's incompatible with V5. As with everyone forcing officially incompatible product with V5. So far never encountered any weather issues with the ORBX weather themes. Maybe that's why LM doesn't acknowledge the issue, because there's none, and mostly comes from people using incompatible weather addon.
FSGRW. Which works fine without wind shift issues in v4. They have a official release for v5, but it has major wind shift problems with aloft winds enabled. The response on their support forum was that this is a bug in p3d and LM is working on a fix for it. Why they released a version knowing this could be a problem, I don't know. I am just glad HiFi is taking their time to get this right.

Even with ORBX-weather I encountered strange wind behaviours in upper flightlevels; during flying a longer time. But I used the AS airbus, linked in V5 via addon.xml. Maybe the reason for having these wind troubles is because the bus not fully compatible yet.

They are present. I noticed a lot of this (during 1-2h flight on GA plane). Try longer flight at different alt.
I fly low and slow as well as long and high. Right now on a 6600nm leg with PMDG747, no issues.

Maybe you have in default offline weather 0 kts wind (to 0) and ticked „no turbulences„. Its impossible simply... 😄 all have this.

That is probably why they have the option to disable injection of upper level winds. If that is checked, the problem disappears, and all other weather effects are still usable.

What weather engine are you using?
REX as i stated somewhere already. Also using ActiveSky but it's not up to me to discuss it as it's not been released yet, so this is ONLY regarding REX.

As you wish, not my problem anyway :)

I hope they at least let us know if they ran into issues etc. I imagine if we dont hear anything today that they did run into either an issue or bugs.

Question: My ASP4 license was an upgrade from AS16 (purchased from SimMarket). Will that work for the beta, or do I need to purchase the full (non-upgrade) ASP4 first?
