In my last post, I did mention that I tried it with that option enabled, but it still doesn’t produce real any gusting at or near surface level. In fact, if you look at the above screen shots, it shows 15G29 for winds without attenuation, and with attenuation, it showed 29G29 in the MSFS weather menus, as opposed to 29G58, which is what I would expect if wind values were doubled with attenuation on (this is also reflected in the very first screen shots I posted in this thread).The MSFS2020 MSL/AGL calculation "bug" for winds and apparent surface-level attenuation is known, and we have a feature/option that can adjust for this: Enable surface wind attenuation cancelation
Sorry if this is annoying or frustrating, Damian, I do appreciate how much work and communication you do! As a pilot in real life, I feel strongly that this is a critical aspect of weather that I’m missing out on with ASFS; a part of weather that I’m constantly thinking about in a small single engine prop plane.
