Bug P3Dv4 stops working after wx download ASP4

Hi,

P3Dv4 works o.k., but as soon as ASP4 brings in downloaded WX it stops working.

ASP4 makes P3Dv4 very unstable as i discovered in the last day's.

I do not use (and did not install) ASCA.

I hope you can find out what that is. (Logfile attached)

The log shows an external firewall, might be a false positive though. Be sure to check your entries in SimConnect.xml and SimConnect.ini if present. You may have to add the SimConnect.xml and .cfg with the required "local" entries. Instructions are in the ASP4 User Manual. Did AS_Connect_P3Dv4_Install.exe run during installation?

Thanks for your reply Robert, i will go check it all.

I saw the remark of the firewall, but in AS16 this is no issue at all so that will probably not be the problem.

is there any info in the Windows Event viewer about the crash?

I found it out in the event viewer, these are two files that i could find from around the time P3Dv4 and ASP4 hangup.

Unfortunately it is in Dutch.

Hi,

there is no evidence of Active sky causing your issue. Keep in mind that P3D itself has several issues currently and LM is working on creating a hotfix rather soon.

Thanks for your answer.

When i use IVAO wx, during online flight everything works well.

As soon as i start to use ASP4 for the wx, P3Dv4 freezes within 20 seconds to 10 minutes.

Maybe you are right, i can not judge that. I will wait and see whats going to happen. (In P3Dv3.4 i had no problem using AS16)

has your IVAO client an official update for P3D v4? If yes, is there a link?

Hi Kostas,

For the IVAO Client, we have to stick with the installer from 2012 (For P3D).

It works, but you can not start IVAP via the "Addons" Manue in P3Dv4.

You have to start IVAP from outside P3Dv4.

IVAP is working o.k., but we can not see other traffic, because the MTL's are not compatible with P3Dv4 yet (The Controller can see you, we just don't see other aircraft)

Ben,

To confirm/rule out IVAP client, can you please try disabling that in the dll.xml temporarily (use ASP4 but not IVAO for a session)?
