Thanks, I'll have a look. It was hard to nail down what I was seeing. I noticed it first when my aircraft was parked at the ramp, and my flight planning software was laggy, it would say "Program not responding" for a few moments while doing computations--normally it runs briskly while MSFS is running. Then after starting engines, I noticed MSFS would have large momentary performance degradations: not low FPS overall, but like 0.5 second stutters while the aircraft was taxying on the airport. I couldn't localize the problem to anything specific, such as ASFS load intervals, but that doesn't mean it's not the case; maybe I just wasn't seeing it. I did several more long flights and found that the problem reliably disappears when ASFS isn't running, but other than that's it seems to be intermittent. I checked Performance Monitor and AFSF was consistently using a lot of RAM but otherwise had no obvious red flags. Here's what was running at the time:
MSFS
Aerowinx PSX
PFPX
Chrome
Navigraph Charts
RealTraffic
ASFS
... and a few small utilities, plus the usual background apps.
Shutting down PFPX and Chrome doesn't stop the spikes, but shutting down ASFS brings things back to normal.
