Resolved Visibility issues

Coming here to look for some suggestions. Really enjoying this product, but have a couple of questions.

1) Brightness of the sun as it passes through the atmospheric conditions/opacity

Is it just me or is it REALLY overexposed. What is the best approach to soften that down a bit? Sim setting or graphics card filtering (gamma, tint, color correction)?

2) Cloud Resolution

The cloud stratification is really beautiful, however, can the development team take a stab at really producing some very high resolution options for the cloud texturing. Some of the non-CB TRSA clouds appear to be a bit lower on the resolution scale. Is it just me?

Release is here, lets work together on making this product even more outstanding for MSFS. I want to see this fully succeed in the market. Huge fan so far.

Testing the adjustments to the atmospheric bloom in Open Beta 8879, I think it is dramatically improved when looking directly toward the sun! No longer appears totally washed out.

I have done some testing via live weather as well as custom static weather and changing visibility. It seems that Active Sky will only depict visibility when reported below 2000 meters. Between 2000 - 9000M there is just a slight haze layer that does not change and isn't accurate to real life. Attached is an example.

VVNB METAR - note visibility is 7000M

MSFS Live Weather (in passive mode):

This has happened at all airports I've tested with similar vis with the same issue. Running B8879 (same issues existed with B8874) .

Curious as well as to why such different colors between active sky and msfs live weather?

Thanks!

This is due to some back and forth humidity changes as requested by many users. We prefer the ideal reduced vis and "haze" as per conditions data but many do not and consider this a visual bug. We're going to move forward with more dynamic adjustment here within 9 and 3SM, probably add an option, and default to a balanced setting. Thanks for your feedback.

Thanks! That'll be great. as it's currently quite realistic when flying in parts of the world where 5-7km vis is common due to smog / pollution. - thanks for listening to all the feedback and working hard to resolve all issues.

Hello,

I'm having a little issue with ASFS when i inject the wx in the sim when i set early hours on the sim like sunset or sunrise or the sun slightly over the horizon, there is like a huge bloom/glowing effect that is really blinding me, i think its related to the humidity in the air but i have no idea how to fix that

here is without active sky (the bloom effect is really reduced and not blinding)

i also tried to disable bloom on the settings but no changes..
Any fix would be much appreciated :)
Thanks

in my opinion it is very realistic in terms of effect... maybe slightly less so... at this point do I think it would be better to set the adjustment? so everyone can choose whether to raise or lower it... always if possible... 💪🏻💪🏻

Latest 8881 build has addressed this (we've been tuning in nearly every new build to account for different preferences). It's normal to have restricted visibility obscuration when the conditions call for it. We've tried to balance that with more apparent vis/less haze/bloom when conditions don't conflict with that look.

I am playing around with the maximum visibility and I have realised that as soon as I set it to 9SM or anything higher than 8, the haze completely disappears.

yes, I also agree if I get below 8sm the fog starts to activate....I think it is a normal setting for those who want to land in the presence of low visibility.....

i think it kinda looks the same :

here im above the cloud layer and the horizon is extremly bright

here the horizon isnt visible at all

without active sky

feels generally over exposed i think when active sky is on

Yeap, i kind of agree, it would be nice to have a setting for this, I would lessen it even if it didn't look so realistic and others would want it more realistic and bright.
