Weather changes

Hello dear developers! I really love AS for Xp12 and use it a lot, but the only thing that really annoys me is the very frequent and rapid weather changes! Flying in a clear sky, a thunderstorm front or clouds appear in a second! It looks too unrealistic, especially when flying to vatsim! I would like to ask you if a smooth change of weather conditions will be implemented, unnoticeable to the user?

Open ASXP Options/Settings:
  • Ensure that "Live Weather Mode" is selected in ASXP.
  • "Cloud Transitions" or "Weather Smoothing" Ensure "Enable Smoothing" is turned on/active.
  • Adjust the transition rate to a lower value to make weather changes more gradual.
  • In ASXP settings, increase the weather update interval (e.g., from 5 minutes to 15-20 minutes).
  • ASXP offers visibility smoothing options to prevent instant changes in visibility.
  • In ASXP, check "Visibility Smoothing" and set a reasonable transition rate.
  • Enable "Prevent Sudden Weather Changes" to avoid sudden shifts.
  • In X-Plane Settings → Weather, check if you are using "Real-World Weather" or ASXP Injection Mode.

Good afternoon! Thank you so much for your reply, but in my version AS 12 (9057), most of the settings you specified are missing!

Hello, I see that now; my apologies for that. What you can try is the following:
  • Enter a flight plan by using SimBrief or manually enter departure, destination, alternate and cruise alt on the Flight Plan tab. You must have a SimBrief account, and it must be checked in General options.
  • Simulator depiction options: Enable Passive weather control.
