I only uninstalled yesterdays update. Didn't have an option to uninstall the other one. Seems to have worked, no errors. Will need to test fully on next flight, as I reinstalled ASFS after I started my present flight.
What version of ASFS are you using? It should be B9412, latest official. Any test builds may have issues as they were designed to create additional errors/logging.Followed the instructions on "INFO - Crash affecting all AS products since latest Windows 11 Update | HiFi Simulation Technologies Forums", unfortunately, no joy. Same error comes up again, even after having reinstalled ASFS![]()
We've tried this with a few customers experiencing this, and it did not resolve the issue thus we cannot recommend this "fix". The only known fix atm is to uninstall the KBs associated with this.Someone might want to try this out, without uninstalling the updates:
Independent advisors appear to confirm that it is indeed the KB5066835 update that introduced the bug. The issue appears to be related to the HTTP/2 protocol.
Temporary fix without uninstalling KB5066835:
- In the registry, navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\HTTP\Parameters- Under the Parameters folder, right-click in the right-hand pane and select New > DWORD (32-bit) Value.
- Name the value EnableHttp2Tls and set its data to 0 (zero).
- Repeat the process to add another value named EnableHttp2Cleartext and set its data to 0.
- Restart the machine.
I'll give it a shot after my current flight, unless someone beats me.![]()
For some reason, beyond me, KB5065789, did not uninstall the first-time round. It has now uninstalled and ASFS in working again. I hope you find a definitive fix soon. Thanks. What version of ASFS are you using? It should be B9412, latest official. Any test builds may have issues as they were designed to create additional errors/logging.
Also make sure you uninstalled both KBs... the 2nd one (from the instructions) is a bit further down the list in Update history in some cases. In any case, if you're still having issues please open/respond to support ticket so we can assist. Thanks!
