Hi Damian,
I have seen other threads where people reported not seeing the METAR refresh under normal usage, but that they were able to switch to Passive mode and back to Preset mode and that would prompt a refresh/download of the data.
I had not previously experienced the same, so assumed it was not a big issue. However, I think I might have found the issue and think I may have a suggestion about what might be going on.
I loaded into KIAH at 1812Z on 3 May, 2024 to check out some thunderstorms. It turned out that they had already moved on at that time, but I decided to look around the area to see what weather I could get there, as well as to try out some different transition smoothing settings.
What I noticed is that in the entire time I have been sitting there, even though my download interval is set to 15 minutes and there have been various METARs issues in the intervening time, my Conditions page continues to show the same METAR as when I loaded in.

Once I started noticing that, I tried pressing the Refresh Weather button on the debug window, but as you can see, every time I did that, I got a message saying "Loading previously loaded weather..." It seems that it's somehow stuck in a loop using the same weather despite the fact that the main ASFS page shows that the time has increased. Even after hitting the top of the next hour, it doesn't download new information. There seems to be an issue with time and when the program thinks it needs to download new information, something I have indicated before in threads about the time setting for historical weather.

Some of the METARS that should have been downloaded:

Log file is also attached.
