Tried with Asobo A310 flight EDDS-LOWK
Beautiful sky with AS and correct metar update.

- but at destination I had broken metar with rain and it shows as few cloud around. So dont know .

- And during flight I clear the SimBrief Flight Plan et download Alain then I had sudden weather change in cruise with weather update.

Hi - new to Active Sky.

Trying out the beta and in my opinion only - the clouds do look to have even flatter bottoms than before.
I did not really see it in the normal; version - but Beta to me looks harsher now.

Everything else seems to be on the right track and i do generally prefer the depiction of the weather.
And I realise some times clouds are just sort of flat underneath - I am in the uk and see enough clouds to know they are all not fluffy pillows! :)

Update - I was landing into Biarritz - looked at my Garmin for about 5 mins - looked up and all but maybe a few wispy clouds had gone.

In hindsight, I had the same thought trying out the new version. They are almost too flat as in they look like a straight flat line across.

I also saw a number of times last night a message saying that the sim had frozen and that there had been not activity for over three minutes. I hadn't seen that message before, so it was new. It's possible that it was showing that because I was programming things in the Fenix, but it seemed to be an error message that didn't apply, as the map was showing my movement. I think that like the message about injecting the theme, it might need a reword (such as, "No movement detected for more than three minutes" followed by "Movement detected" once movement recommences).

I have just updated to this beta version and in the previous 8874 at the same location and with the same METAR the wind in the debug screen matched that in sim but on installing this version i noticed that the wind in the debug window was showing 350/17 and in sim it was being injected as 350/8. I then changed location and again i got a windspeed value which was around half of what was reported in the debug window (debug had 330/24 and in sim showed as 330/12 ). Other than that it is working really well for me.

We have wind attention enabled and this explains much of this. We plan on adding optional wind attenuation disable capability very soon. Please check magnetic vs. true wind directions and magnetic variation to explain directional differences. Thank you.

In addition to my above comment; bank angle caution has been triggered twice during turn by autopilot because of abrupt injection of wind. I also noticed that this abrupt injection stopped at around 2000 feet AGL. I do not use FS Realistic, FSUIPC and Realturb. It's only ASFS would inject or affect the sim about weather.
In Fenix A320 and FSS E190 no such issues, stable flight, only slight turbulence in clouds or CAT, but nothing that an aircraft can not handle...

Yes, we're trying to get an official update as soon as possible, but due to the very large activity and ongoing fixes/improvements, it may take a little longer in beta cycles.

Build updated and reposted to resolve a METAR cloud layer issue related to NSC/NCD/CAVOK clouds.

Did you get the 8880B version? If not please redownload and install again. If you still have no cloud issues please post details in the thread already discussing this. Thank you!

Uninstalled completely 8879, install 8880, but still no turbulence at all, even at max turbulence settings. Replied to the the ticket follow-up with log.
