On my side I search for a strong wind condition METAR (from ASFS search tab) with gusting. Start a flight at this location then take off for a couple of training circuit. On ASFS UI Debug tab, survey the turbulence level injected in real time and see if I have some move in the cockpit/aircraft accordingly.
Make sure before flight that MSFS turbulence setting is set to low.

ah do msfs turbulences have to be set in the menu before the flight? I thought they were also updated in flight from the settings

No, there was an issue with 8880 so they re-released it as 8880B, both Betas, different builds.
yes, as guys told to be sure, in some post, guys use b not just 8880... however looks like in active sky window both show 8880 without b. i download this from the thread. then kind guy from hifi send me link same file as i had... interface shwow 8880 not 8880b

My understanding is that AS turbulence depiction is independent of MSFS turbulence setting. So final result is like an addition of both.

I was wondering that also. i have msfs turbulence set to medium. Always found "realistic" to be waaay too much. The turbulence depicted in AS seems to be the sweet spot

They really should be putting the version number into the installation filename instead of everything being called 'AS_FS_Install.exe'. It's such a Dev 101 thing.

'AS_FS_Install_B8880.exe'. Simple and clear for anyone who wants to dabble in the betas.

Testing latest beta and just landed into EFHK but depicted conditions sadly don't match metar at all :-( I was using a flight plan from simbrief. If you need any more details let me know

i never use metar, it's too.... inconvenient. i open webcam at place i fly and look what's going on in the sky. if msfs looks better i stay with msfs weather. if not - active sky and of course for me matter how cool it's drawing, if closer to real but ugly, i prefer cool draw:)

I've also tried creating windshear and microbursts from the debug menu, they don't really seem to do anything (other than say Windshear at me a lot), not sure if that's intentional or a bug...?

try to clear your flightplan and look if weather change suddenly. If not thats correct.

Tried à flight today with simbrief flightplan and metar had little delay at departure but arrival was full ok with good metar and AS weather.
